STILL WE GREW | The Harvest Owed – Juneteenth Celebration

On January 1, 1863, freedom was declared. It didn’t reach Texas until June 19, 1865. Two and a half years later. Part of the reason it took so long? The harvest. The land was the reason freedom was delayed.

So this Juneteenth, we’re gathering where that history actually lives; in the soil.

STILL WE GREW is our Juneteenth on the farm. This year’s theme is “The Harvest Owed.” We’ll hold the ground, tell the truth, eat together, and put seeds in the hands of our children.
